The Abbey-Progress

I am making a bit of progress on backstitching on this one. I personally think it looks horrible, so don't look too closely. It makes me mad, too, because of all the time I put in on this and now I feel like the back stitching is ruining it. Sigh....but, stitch on I will, and then I will frame it and it hang it REALLY high up on the wall. (I have 12 foot ceilings, so...) That way people can look at it from afar, and not be appalled at the backstitching! LOL...I MUST finish this! I just have to. I've come so far on it, I can't abandon it now.

I have finished backstitching on pages 5, 4 and 1, so I only have 6 more pages of backstitching to get done. Wish me luck!

I don't know when I will be able to post again, so, I hope all my readers have a lovely holiday season, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

See yah for another stitchy year in 2014!!

It's official! I'm addicted!

I couldn't wait! I JUST HAD to start "Flower Bride" All those gorgeous purples and lavendars were just calling my name!

Here she is at 5 hours of work. I used to keep track of my hours on my projects, and had gotten out of the habit. But, I am just curious as to how long one of these takes. Mind you, this is a SMALL one, so I'm sure not as long as a "real" one would take. But, the past 3 days, since I started this (on Dec. 12) I can hardly put it down! I can't believe HOW many shades of purple/pink are just in that tiny bit I've done right there.  I think there are 6 or 7 shades there! WOW!
And here is what the pattern looks like!  Page 1. This project is 8 pages, but 4 of those pages are not full pages. barely like 15 rows or something, not bad at all. So, we shall see. I don't want to switch out my projects now! I just want to work on this one forever!!

Also, in my last post I mentioned that I would be working the next piece (Sea of Roses) on 25 count. I have decided to also do it on 18 count. At 25 count, finished size would only be 6 inches by 7 inches. That's like something you frame to set on a desk, in my opinion...lol, so have once again decided I will be stitching it on 18 count, this bringing it to a nice hefty 13 by 14 size. Much better for a wall hanging.  But! ONE day! I WILL buy one of the monstrous sized ones and HAVE to do it on 25 count, lest it cover an entire wall! THAT would be interesting! LOL

Thank you so much for your lovely comments! And tips and notes on working an HAED piece. I am so excited to finally be diving into these patterns! I have actually been thinking of naming 2014 "The year of The BAP" And just go crazy and start a bunch of my Kustom Kraft projects, as well as these HAED pieces too.  But that is still yet to be seen. I DO love working on my Christmas ornies as well.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Filled with lots of stitching, though I know this is a busy time of the year for most people. I will be going on vacation on Weds. So, after I'm done posting this, I will be preposting my next update on The Abbey to be posted the 20th, and then you probably won't hear from me for a bit. Thanks again for reading!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!

Well, people, I have slid over to the dark side....ok, ok, maybe not what I should call it, how about the crazy that is Heaven and Earth Designs? I actually downloaded and printed two of their freebie charts!

Here is Flower Bride- by Linda Tso:
Ok, this is SUPPOSED to be a book keep. But not when you switch the fabric from 25 cnt. to 18 count. Then it becomes a good sized wall hanging! Look at how huge that is!
The next one I REALLY am going to stitch on 25 cnt. fabric. But since I don't have any, I am gonna wait until after the holidays. and I get home from my trip, to order it.
These two will probably take me the rest of my life to stitch, so I may never get to any more of their designs, except that all the beauty on their page is calling me!! My favorite artist is Rachel Anderson! Those long flowy gowns? Those beautiful colors?! I want to stitch them all!!!

Yup, I'm in trouble! Or at least I think my wallet will be!

Joyful stitching!

A finish and a start

First up I finished Winter fun Ornament #5! Isn't he cute?! I really enjoyed working on him! I didn't have much to do this round on him to get him finished up.

 Next is progress on #6:
This little guy is a raccoon skiing downhill. You can see I have just about finished his little hat, but I still have quite a bit left to do. I really enjoy working on these little guys.

Well, I think I may have one more update for you on The Abbey at the end of the week, then after that, I will be taking a break from blogging for a bit,as I will be traveling for the holidays, and not sure if I will be able to get to a computer. And I will be going to visit family, therefore doubt too much stitching will be happening during that time.  But once I get back after the first of the year, I plan to do LOTS of stitching and blogging!  I am still thinking I may take these little guys with me to work on if I get a chance at my parents, but we will see. (I hear you all gasping..."What?! She's not taking any stitching with her on vacation?!")

Thank you for the lovely comments I recieved on my last post! And if you came to my blog and all my pictures were `poof!` gone, I had a bit of a misshap trying to fiddle with my settings at google+. I hate that google and blogger are in bed together.  It's really annoying. I have been thinking about switching things over to word press, or something, but I hate the thought of losing all the work I've done here (8 years worth!). Any thoughts or help on this would be great! Thank you for stopping by! I hope everyone is staying safe out there if you are in crazy winter weather.

Mystic Dragon-Progress

Haven't been stitching a whole lot, but a little. This is what I have accomplished on Mystic Dragon. It seems to stitch up pretty quickly when I do pick it up!

An explanation, some new stash, and some progress...

Well, I have not been around here on the blog much. I guess I can share my reasonings now. My husband was getting ready for a deployment, and he left on my birthday, of all days, about two weeks ago.  Sooo....before he left, I was stressed and anxious about his leaving, and wanted to spend as much time as I could with him, so the stitching and blogging suffered. Then he left, and I have just been in a funk!  I can't seem to focus on much lately. I have just been zoning out in front of the TV watching lots of shows on Netflix. So....anyway, THAT is what has been up here.
But! I have been reading lots of blogs still, and have recently been enamored with some of which the author stitches mostly HAED pieces or other rather large ones. So, I started thinking "I really should spend more time on some bigger, more detailed pieces as well."
For my birthday i got a little bit of extra cash, and I spent it on these three new patterns! This makes 7 Kustom Kraft patterns that are in my stash pile.

However, this is my FIRST by Mystic stitch. I was not aware that it would be a 15 page pattern.  I am aching to start ANY of these new ones, but! I have held myself to the promise that I will finish the Abbey first!  And you'd think that would spur me on to really work on it, but I only worked on it half heartedly as i watched TV. I have almost, just about finished the backstitching on page 5, and have started 4. (I thought I was done with 5, so went onto 4, only to realize I was NOT finished with 5 afterall, and had to go back and finish it.)
And here is my progress on Winter Fun #5:
All that is left of him is to finish filling in the white and to finish backstitching. I have very little start on #6. Just about 35 stitches, so not enough to warrant a photo at this time.

So, anyway that is what is going on in my corner of the world. We are int he midst of a winter storm, lots of COLD rain, ice sleet so far, and they are calling for snow tonight and into tomorrow morning. So, maybe I will use this cozy time to sit and stitch. One can hope!  I will be back in a few days with an update of The abbey, and then I will share Web of Life's update as scheduled ont he 30th.

I hope all my American readers have a lovely Thanksgiving. And if you are battling the winter storms, please be careful out there. My suggestion is you curl up on the couch with a hot cuppa, a nice fuzzy blanket and some stitching! (Or maybe a book! Or a movie!) Anyway, stay safe friends! And as always Joyful Stitching to you all!

The Abbey....A little more backstitching.

Well, I was only able to get a few hours in on this project this time around....again...(my stitching time has been really minimal here lately, but that will all change soon.) I am happy with the amount of progress I was able to get in on this. It seems to be backstitching fairly quickly. I am not sure if I will be able to finish this entire thing by years end, but I think it won't be far past that. Right now I am working on the backstitching of page 5, pages 1-3 don't have that much backstitchingin them, and the areas on the bottom, where all the flowers are don't either. So, I just have to keep it up. I just can't wait to finish the backstitching on this, so I can move on....I have been toying with the idea of starting a new "Kustom Krafts" piece. But maybe I'll be good, and just move "Mystic Dragon" into it's place?  I just have so many WIP's I feel a bit guilty for starting a new BAP.Oh what to do, what to do? Too many projects. not enough time! LOL
Well, I hope your days are filled with lots of happy stitches!

WOL TINY update, and "Jack"

Well, things here are still not good on the stitching front. Too much other garbage going on, which should be resolved in  about a week, or a week and a half. So hopefully then I will be able to get more stitching in. Right now I'm just trying to enjoy some family time. Speaking of family time, here is us carving our pumpkin.  Alyssa has named him "Jack" lol

And here is what TINY little bit of stitching I got done. I did all of two lengths of thread on this. I was hoping to finish this page this month, but that was not to happen.  It WILL happen next month, for sure! I didn't even have a chance to work on my dragon at all.
I hope you all have a lovely Halloween!

Winter fun Ornaments #4- finished, and #5 started!

I did it! I finished Winter Fun Ornament #4. Another thing crossed off my goals list for the month!
And I worked a little bit more on #5.  This one is a snowman, with a orange and yellow scarf around his neck.  The red in the upper right hand area is a bird, and there is some holly on his hat. I love watching these come to life when I backstitch them!

Well, I didn't even work on The Abbey this last round of the rotation.  I was too busy being upset about life. LOL....And now it's time to pull out the Web of Life and Mystic Dragon.
Happy stitching!

Web of Life and Mystic Dragon Progress update

Well, as I speculated the last time I blogged, I decided to work on both pieces! I just copuldn't help but put about an hours worth of work into my dragon.
But first up is Web of Life:

I worked quite a bit on the pipe and some back stitching and then slid over and actually worked a bit on page 2, over on the right hand side there. I would like to see a finish on page 1 this month, but not sure it will happen, but I'm gonna try!
Next up is this guy:
This is Mystic Dragon, as you can see I filled in more of the light blue, and added some magenta. It's a good thing I am used to stitching on 18 count aida, as it is almost impossible to see where the needle is supposed to go with that dark fabric. So for most of it, I have gone by feel! Which sounds kinda crazy, but it is really coming in handy with this piece! Though I think next time I work on this I will try stitching it with a really bright light/lamp directly on my project and a white surface underneath. I think that will help a bit.  We'll see.

I am still really enjoying these two projects.  I have not been stitching as much as I would like, as I have been in a bit of a funk right now. Some anxieties and other worries going through my mind that just seem to be getting in the way of other things. For one my mom fell last weekend and broke her hip and had to have surgery. And while it doesn't affect me directly as we live a few states away, I am still worried about her and my dad, and call alot to make sure things are ok. Then there are some things on the homefront here that are a bit worrying going on now, which at this time I cannot talk about on a public forum, such as this, but I can later on. So, anyway, just psyching myself up for some recent changes coming up. I've just got alot on my mind and heart right now.

Anyway. Now I am working on The Abbey. Backstitching, and apparently some fill in work that I missed before. Just a few stitches here and there. I'm really not feeling the whole backstitching of this piece. In fact I don't like the way it looks! I can't explain it. It just doesn't look right to me. I feel like it's actually ruining this piece, and it's frustrating me, but I don't know what to do about it, and at this point it is probably too late to do anything about it. When I post it on Sunday maybe you can give me your feedback.

So, anyway. That's about all here. Thank you for reading!

Joyful stitching to you all!!

Saying goodbye to a special stitcher....

As I perused the blogs this morning, I saw that our dear friend, Cathey has passed away. I only knew her though her blog and our mutual love of stitching, but when I saw that she had passed, I cried.

Somehow the fact that she passed in October is sorta fitting....the month of the pumpkin....I know that every year as I pull out my fall decorations, and I see pumpkins popping up all over town in celebration of fall and Halloween, she will be in my heart and mind, and I will say a prayer for her family and loved ones. So now when I put out my pumpkins in October, besides celebrating fall and Halloween, I will also be celebrating the life of a beautiful person, Cathey.

Winterfun Ornament #4- Progress!

Here is my progress on #4. I got alot more done than I thought I would! And I didn't even do any stitching for two of the 5 days alloted for this round. Just wasn't in the mood! This one seems to be stitching up pretty quickly! But I'm not sure if I will have a finish on it like I want by months end, but we will see!

For the next 5 days I am trying to decide what I want to pull out to work on. It is supposed to be Web of Life, but I am dying to pull out Mystic Dragon and get some work in on it, so I am thinking either 1) stitch on Dragon instead of Web....or 2) spend 3 out of the 5 days on Dragon, and 2 with Web.  That way they both get some work in on them. This rotation thing is tricky!!

Thank you for reading!!

Wow! A finish...sorta....The Abbey

Wow! Only 5 days into the month and I can already strike off one thing on my "goals" list! I finished all the X stitches on this one! So next time I will continue working on the backstitching, which I had already started last month! Oh I'm dreading that part! But I know I can do it! I can hardly believe I'm almost finished with this monster of a project! It has taken me soooo long!

I have already kitted up my next BAP that will take this one's place. I can't wait to reveal which one I have decided to do next!
Joyful stitching!

Goals for October...

Wow! I can't believe there are only three months left of 2013!! This year seriously flew faster than an F-15!  Ok, so maybe not THAT fast, but pretty durned fast!  Gosh I don't even remember the last time I did a "goals" post....May? Hmmm...Not for awhile, I know that much!

Anyway, so I think now would be a good time to post one. So, here's what I'm thinking for the beautiful month of October....

STITCHING
- Finish x-stitching Page 9 of the Abbey
- Finish Winter Fun Ornament # 4
- Start WF ornie #5
-Finish Page 1 of Web of Life
-Work on page 2 Web of life

READING
-Finish 5 books (at least 2 from the "1001 books you must read before you die" list)
-Get to page 700 in Don Quixote

WRITING
- 20 Letters
-1000 words in my fictional work
-Post at least 5 book reviews on my book blog

Ok, I think that is it.  Kinda ambitious, I think, but I hope I can do it! I just gotta turn off the TV!  Wish me luck, I'm a-gonna need it!

Web of Life Update

Wow! I was able to finally take and post a decent photo of my work! So, this time I only really stitched a few hours, but it seems like I got more progress done than I thought. My ultimate goal for this project this round of my rotation was to finish the group of feathers in the upper left area of the pattern, which I did! And I got quite a bit done on the pipe as well! So, i'm pleased with my progress this go around. I really didn't think I'd do so well, as all I seem to want to do lately is watch TV. Which is very unlike me! I am not a TV watcher, really. I'd prefer reading a book to watching TV, but I got Netflix....and ooooh boy....all the shows I didn't get to watch while I was over in Japan? I am apparently trying to catch up on ALL of them now! Anyway....so I have been zoning out in front of the tube way too much! Not reading, not writing, apparently I did stitch a little. I just want to be a couch potato....Eh, oh well, every girl is entitled to a bit of couch time every now and then, right?

Gosh I can't believe tomorrow is October!! Time to pull out The Abbey already again! Wow!

Joyful stitching!

Pumpkins for Cathey

Happy Blogiversary to a very special lady out in Blog land! Lots of prayers and thoughts going out to you today!!

PS I know, it looks like an orange, but it REALLY is a pumpkin!

A finish and two new starts!

So, last week, my black fabric that I ordered finally came in on Friday! And I couldn't resist! That night I started this piece, which has been on my "to stitch" list for a very long time. It is Mystic Dragon 2. And it is in the same Stitchery Magazine issue as is The Web of Life and Snow Valley Express. I don't remember which issue it is, I would have to look it up if anyone is curious as to exactly which one it is. I have looked around for Mystic Dragon 1, and I have seen photos of it online but have not found a place to purchase it. I would love to do it as well. But I think it is out of print. So, I will just try to finish this one. My goal for this one is to finish it by September 20th of 2014. That gives me a year. But, with so many other projects on the go now, I am not sure how that is gonna work out. Maybe after I finish The Abbey. But I was really thinking to fill that spot with one of my new Kustom Krafts pieces. So, lots of thinking and planning will be happening.

This is how it will look when finished. I have loved this piece since I saw it, and it always just seemed like a dream that I would ever actually start it, and now I have!!! It's gonna be sooo pretty when it's finished!
And now for my finish!! Here is my finish on Winter Fun Ornament #3:
Aren't these guys so cute! And love how colorful and bright they are!
And right after I finished them, just this morning, and started right into #4:

I only put one thread into it, which was just a handful of stitches as you can see here, but at least it's a start!

Also on an exciting note, my "Moonlight Bay" Pattern showed up in the mail yesterday!!! Oh! I want to start it sooooo bad!!! But, I shall refrain!!! I really want to finish The Abbey before I start any more truly big ones again. But! I am now the proud owner of FIVE Kustom Krafts patterns! Six if you want to count "Howling at the Moon". Now I just gotta figure out how to finish stitching them in my lifetime. Since I went back to the beginning of The Abbey here on my blog, and I started it 7 years ago! Although mind you, I took quite a few breaks from it, and took one LONG one between 2010 and 2012, where I didn't even touch it in all those two years. So even though I started it 7 years ago it hasn't been 7 years of steady stitching on it. But I am truly hoping for a finish on IT by years end! Good luck to me!! Ok, I'm done rambling now, thank you so much for reading and for all the lovely comments!! I love them all! I need to return the favor! I'm horrible at that. I love reading everyone's blogs. and do religiously, as they pop up on my feedly, but I usually just read and keep going. So, I am gonna try to be better about that!

Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday!

The Abbey Progress Update

Here is my crappy picture of The Abbey as it stands now! I am so close to a finish on page #9. I even started backstitching! There has just been lots and lots of confetti like fill in. It just seems to go on and on.

So, I made another order.  This time at 123Stitch. I needed 18 count black aida for a new project...which I will share more about that later. I have really been looking into buying more BAP patterns. I found a bunch I liked at The Angel Nook.com.  Has anyone ordered from them? Are they reliable? Also if anyone knows good Online stitching stores to purchase any of these big projects from let me know. I like HAED, Mystic Stitch, and Kustom Krafts.  Has anyone ordered from Mystic Stitch's website lately? Cause I am on their facebook page and alot of people were saying that they take a long time to ship out orders. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Please let me know! And please leave your favorite online stitching shop in your comment.  Thank you!!! Oh yeah and if you have any complaints about a place and could warn me away from them that would be great. I moderate my comments, and if you have negative review of a place, I won't post it, if you don't want. Thanks!

Progress on Web of Life

Sorry about the creases and crinkles. Here is where I'm at after working on this one for the month we were on vacation, plus the past 5 days. I usually do most my stitching at night, after I put my daughter to bed, but this week I have been really tired, so have not done much on it, but over the past month I guess I got more in than I thought. I finished 2 whole feathers, almost finished a third, and worked a bit more on backstitching. I am still really enjoying this one!

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my new stash!! I cannot wait for it to come in the mail! I just may "cheat" and start it right away!  Ok, maybe not, but I will really want to! The next 5 days are "Abbey" days. I am hoping to finish the entire piece this year. I still have to finish the 9th and last page and all the backstitching!  We will see if I actually reach that goal!

Friday, September 13, 2013

I'm so excited!!

Today I actually bought some new stash.  I saw this at one of my favorite online store Kustom Krafts, and HAD to have it! So, I wasted no time!

I am realizing, after I finished "Howling at the Moon" last year how very much I really enjoy pictures with the moon in it! There are several more patterns I want to buy and stitch with the moon as well. There is just something so beautiful, mysterious and magical about moonlight. So, I cannot wait to get this in the mail! I probably won't start it right away, but I will own it, and that's half the fun! The thought that the option to start it is available is always such a comfort! I still have 5 other Kustom Kraft projects in my stash that need to be stitched up as well. If you are at all familiar with Kustom Kraft pieces, you know that most of them are very detailed pieces, usually about 9 page patterns that take quite awhile to stitch up. But, ever since I finished
"Howling"  I just fell in love with the larger pieces out there. I am even contemplating some HAED, and I never thought I would hear myself say that!  So, we shall see! I actually went through the KK site and made a wish list....I have 85 patterns I want!! I would never be able to stitch them all, but one can window shop and dream right?

Photo taken from the Kustom Kraft website!! Go check them out! They got some GOOD stuff!

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Well, I'm back!

Wow! What a month! We were out of town to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I should/could have blogged, but I barely even stitched! I only took 1 project with me (Web of Life), and I think the entire month I may have gotten 5 hours stitching in.

We got home Sunday night, and I couldn't wait to get things unpacked so I could settle into some stitching. According to my rotation schedule I worked on ornaments for the past 2 days.
I was able to finish #2 in the Winter Fun series! I really didn't have much to do to finish it.
And I worked on #3 in the Winter Fun series.

OMG WTH?!?!?! I think my husband installed an update on this computer. My picture system is all messed up on it! It won't read my memory card from my camera. And it won't allow me to crop or change the photos at all!!! WHAT?! So, sorry for the crappy photo of #3. Dang, if I have to go through all this crap just for a dumb photo, I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna keep blogging. It doesn't seem worth it! We'll see.

Ugh! How annoying!!! I had to take the photos on my phone, e-mail them to myself, then save them to the computer,THEN post them, and I can't even edit them the way I want?! This is ridiculous!  Anyone else having issues?

Well, it is Web of life time in my rotation, but since I worked on it during my trip, I may pull out the Abbey and get some work into it! Who knows? Well, I was gonna tell you a bit about my trip, but right now I'm so irked I just wanna get off this dumb computer!

Joyful stitching!

Winter Fun Ornament #2 Almost a Finish but Not Quite!

I am so close to a finish on this. All I have is to fill in a little bit of the snow in the background and finish the backstitching. I am not too pleased with the backstitch. For this one I used the called for color (DMC 535) Which is really a dark gray color, but I don't think it shows up quite as well as the black, so I will probably go back to using the black. The black just looks so much more crisp and clean in my opinion. What do you think?

Well, not sure how many more posts I will be posting the rest of this month, as we are going out of town for almost a month for vacation. We are going back to my parents to help celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary! So it will be a fun time! But I'm not counting on getting a whole bunch of stitching or other hobby type things done while we are there.

So, until next time- Joyful Stitching!!

The Abbey-Progress

First off, I apologize for it being sorta wonky! I tried to straighten it out, but this was the best I could do, without ironing it. So, we will just pretend it's on a hill. I am actually quite amazed at the amount of time I was able to put into it this round. Alot more than I thought. I worked on it,as a reward to myself for unpacking boxes! I'd finish one or two and sit and stitch for about 45 minutes to an hour, then work on another box, and stitch, so it really sorta worked out well. I really hate unpacking, so it was a great incentive. I really think I will see a finish on this by years end, at least I am hoping! There isn't much more x-stitching to do, but I know all the back stitching is gonna be a pain. I don't know why I haven't started working on it yet, I normally hate waiting until the end to work on backstitching, I just haven't yet.
Next up on the blog: ornaments! I really enjoy working on those little guys after a good stint on this big ole one!

Have a great week! Joyful stitching to you all!

Web of Life Progress

Well, as you can see I have actually been able to get quite a bit done one this since the last time I posted a progress of it.  This is not just the past 5 days work, I worked quite a little bit on it during the last month, but just now have the chance to share a photo. I almost have all the hanging pieces done on the left hand side, and even started some of the backstitching. And have almost an entire feather finished. I'm happy with this progress.  It's not alot, but considering the lack of time I've really had with this move, I am happy with it, it is really a fun piece to stitch. The next project on the docket is The Abbey.  Now because of the complexity of that piece, I really have very little to show. I don't even think I worked on it at all in the past month/month and a half during this move, so it will just be what little bit I can get done the next 5 or 6 days. Which I am not sure will be a whole lot, since our shipment of household goods just showed up yesterday so now the marathon unpacking begins!!!  Who wants to come help me?!

A stitchy update-Finally!!! A finish!!

Here is the first ornament in the Winter Fun series.  There are 12 of these. I can't believe I started this series in April!!! At least that is what I have down as the start date in my records. WOW! Lets hope the next one doesn't take so long. I think it took so long, because for about a month I set the ornaments aside to work solely on my dad's train. I am so happy to have this one finished!

I also have a pretty good start on the second one, but I was too lazy to post a photo... maybe later. Or with my next update, which will be Web of Life. Which I am really enjoying!!

Joyful stitching, and thank you for reading!

Time to get Back on Track

I feel as if I have lost 2 months of my life with this dumb move. And I have one more dumb month to get through! Next month we will be going to California for about a month to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. And while I'm excited to see family and share this very special mile stone with them, I am truly just ready to be settled. I don't want to be on the road anymore. We will fly there and then drive our truck back. UGH!

I cannot wait for September! Fall will be on its way (my favorite season) and I can hopefully get things all unpacked, and be settled and ready to stitch the fall and winter away. I miss having a routine and enjoying my hobbies.

But! We still have 2 more weeks at least until we leave for Cali. So, I am going to try to get back some semblance of a routine. At least with the stitching. I am gonna pick up my rotation once again. So for the next 5 days I will work a bit on my ornaments. The past few weeks I have been able to work SOME on the ornies here and there, and also "Web of life" as well.

I had started the first ornament in the third series of the book of ornaments I was working on, which is called "Winter Fun" and I am almost finished with it.  All I have left to do is white fill in and backstitching. I am almost out of white floss though, but my stash of floss gets here Tuesday, so I should be good to go.

I have also been thinking about ordering the aida I need for a few new projects. But that may need to wait for September after our visit to California. No hurry.

Well, that is all the rambling for me here today!  I really need to hit up my feedly and leave a few comments on all your lovely stitching!! I have not been able to keep on top of my blog reading. So I hope to pick that up once again as well.  I have seriously been thinking about cutting the internet out of my life for a bit. Not going online for senseless useless time wasting. Only go on the days I update my blog, or to update my goodreads account.  No more FB, no more twitter, but then I think of all the blog reading I will miss out on....oh what a dilemma! I derive so much inspiration and motivation through the blogs I love and follow! So, we shall see...

Thank you for reading! hope your weekend is going well! Next time I will post photos- promise!

I am Alive and Well

I have very little by way of stitching to show, but I am super excited about my new house. I love this house! and I wanted to share some pictures.
We'll start with my favorite room in the house- The master bath! It has two huge walk in closets, two sinks, a shower, toilet (in it's own room) and of course the large Jacuzzi bath tub:
