Still not much stitching on my end. last night when DH got home we watched a movie and all the while I kept looking at various projects laying around near me thinking, "I really should stitch" Then I finally picked up my isaiah piece started working on the eagle, messed up and that was that for that. I am starting ot hate that piece. I'm sorry Cindy! Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, but, why do there have to be SO many freakin' browns in that dumb bird. "Well, Lana, of course it may be to give the bird some dimension, and some texture, D'yah ever think of that?!" Well, yes, as a matter of fact, I did! The chart just drives me CRAZY!!!! I have tried to make a working chart but it is so dark I can't tell what anything is, I have half a mind to just mark up the original, but I would have to go back and mark all that I've already done, which could take me ages, while I could just be stitching on the thing in the first place!
I guess I am just in a huge stitching slump, and for now...I need a break. So, if you don't see me here for a bit, don't fret, I'm still alive and you may see me in your comments boxes, because I am really into still reading everybody's wonderful blogs, I just don't have the energy right now to stitch, and since this is a stitching blog I guess I would need to keep that up in order to make this blog worth anything. And I don't even have the want to to keep up with my own blog. I'm just in a slump. Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

I totally undestand being in a slump like that. I have been there and done that!!! I agree about our SAL piece . . . that bird is driving me crazy as well. The browns are horrible!!!! I am having to really push myself on that wing!!! I just keep thinking about the fact that after that part, it will be so much easier. Anyway, if you are needing a break from it let me know . . .we can take a break. Or if you just want to work on it whenever you feel like it, we can do that too. Let me know! I hope that you get your stitching mojo and blogging mojo back soon!!!!
hope to see you back soon Lana!!!
Oh, Lana... I'm so sorry you are in such a slump, Sweetie!!! {{{Hugs}}}
Why don't you just put the bird aside for awhile and go through your stash and find something small, quick and fun and see if that cheers you up a wee bit! I think that Eagle has just got you down...
Keep writing and blogging... it's good for the Soul... as is Stitching... it's my therapy! :-)
Sending you lots of sunny, cheerful thoughts and big {{{Hugs}}}
Hope your stitching mojo returns soon.
Oh, I hate when there's a lot of shades of one color, and brown is the WORST! Have you tried using a post-it note to mark your place? I used to highlight all my charts, but now I use post-its, and it helps a lot. Also, have you considered setting little goals for each day? If I'm starting to get sick of a piece, I'll sometimes tell myself just to put 20-25 stitches in each day, then move to something else. It doesn't sound like much, but it keeps the project from just laying dormant.
