I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!

I have a HAPPY DANCE! it isn't a complete happy dance, but! I finally finished the x's in Nov. Quilt !! (No surprize that Blogger ate my picture!) so, you get to see the picture tomorrow! I will post nice and EARLY, that way the photo will get through. Now all I have left is back stitch!!!!!! I have done some of it already! But I think it looks great! It is so nice to see the stitching done.

Watch this space! Progress picture tomorrow!

::big sigh and a smile::

uh oh.

What oh? I have that feeling again...that itching feeling you get when you want to start a new project and you know you shouldn't, but it is all you can do to stay away from your stash, so you don't accidently start a new one! I think the best idea right now would for me to change up my projects. right now i have been working mostly on Nov. Quilt, andPatchwork Bears, I wonder if I should root around in my WIP's drawer and pull out something from a time long long ago, in a place far far away. I don't know. I have been really thinking about my conversion for Love, Home Joy. I have so many things I want to start, but I will be good, and work on things I know I need to, now I just need to find an old project and pull it out dust it off, and go to work on it!

The only thing is...I used to be really into cutesy little things, bears and winnie the pooh, and what not, and my taste has changed, so my old projects that are sitting in that drawer half done, or not even half done, don't appeal to me. of course there is always "Nature's Window" (Wolf mom with pups int he snow, with a native american print border) or "Dare to dream" another wolf one with a dream catcher. or I have a few dolphin ones I want to finish. Well, one is needing to be finished and one needs to be started. I also have some country scene ones. And "The Abbey" which I worked on for about twenty minutes the other day, and really enjoyed it. Oh who knows?

Well, even though it is only 5:42 in the morning, I think I will go look through my "WIP's" drawer and pick something. And stay far away from my "New stuff stashy" drawer! =)

Finally! some more progress!

Well, here is Nov. Quilt, it is now at 65 hours, and I think it is really looking great! From here on out it is alot of fill in. I am almost done with the pumpkins and yet i still have a lot of green to put in, but it is just half stitches, so should go quickly.
I have been pretty busy so haven't been blogging much lately, as last Friday I got my drivers license! Yay for me! It is SOOOO embarrassing, but here I am almost 29 years old and not having one yet, but I have always had a sort of phobia of driving. When I was about 12 years old I was in a car accident with my mom. We were not hurt or anything, but it shook me up quite badly. and then when I was a teeneager, just about the time I was going to take driver's ed, and stuff, a family friend of ours died in a car accident, she was only 16 years old so...nope! No way was I getting behind the wheel. Well, then I got out of high school, and thought I would go get my permit, and did, and after a few times out driving I saw another HUGE accident, there were people laid out covered up, dead. I took that car home and never tried again.

That was about 10 years ago,and I have always had someone to take me wherever I wanted, or needed to go. But with DH leaving for the middle East here in a little less than a month, I would have been stranded. So, I pushed myself to get it. And I did! And I have driven to work all last weekend, and sunday I didn't work but took the car out and hung out with a friend. And now I can't believe I waited so long! So, anyway, I have been busy, but as you can see, I have gotten in a little bit of stitching on Nov. Quilt. I am so close! I didn't make it for my mom's b-day, it was on Sunday (the 23rd) She is coming out to visit in July, while DH is gone, so I am thinking about maybe having it done for her then. It gives me a few more months! Plus, we shall hope that by then my dad's gift will be done too!

Well, I think I am going to go sit and do some more stitching, and read some more blogs before having to get ready for work. Bye!

Pictures, updates.

Here is Patchwork bears. And I did scan one of Nov. Quilt, but it looks the same from last time, so I didn't post it. anyway, as you can see, I have been putting a bit of time into this piece, I am going to try to finish up the left hand part of the border this weekend. As you can tell, I have been really scattered with this one. just a stitch here and there, and yet it seems to be getting done, though. Not much else to write about. I think I will settle in with Nov. quilt for the afternoon, before I have to head off to work.

Wow! but it's been awhile...

Well, this past weekend was stitchy. I worked a little on Nov. Quilt, and a little on Easter bellpull, which still isn't finished, and I just this morning pulled out Patchwork Bears, and put a couple of hours in on it. So, I need to scan some pictures for you, but my hubby is on the computer, so I will have to do that a bit later.

However, I think that instead of trying to rush doing my parent's gifts for their birthdays, I will try to get them done for their anniversary, in August. I don't know why I do this! I try to rush and rush to get things done, and then they don't get done, and I am disappointed,a nd it just keeps getting pushed back. I keep reminding myself, this is only a hobby! I am supposed to be enjoying myself. I really do not know how people who do RR's and exchanges and charity stitching and other obligation stitching do it! I wish I had that kind of dedication. These gifts are never going to get done! But at the same time, I have things I want to do for myself, and I keep putting them off, to try and work on these ones. and the more I try to pressure myself into working obligation things, the more I don't want to work on them! I am just the worlds biggest procrastinator, I think!

So, anyway. I am taking som eof the pressure off myself by saying, by August I will have them done, however, by doing this I am only buying myself more tiem to procrastinate, and not work on them, and then In July right before August then I will find myself in this mess all over again, having put it off AGAIN! The thing is , I really like these pieces I have chosen to do for my parents, but I hate this pressure I feel to have them done!

This was supposed to be a Lana year, anyway, with a long list of things I wanted to do for myself. and now look! I have hardly done a thing for me! And it is going on the 5th month of this year! Oh well, they are getting done. I have Patchwork Bears well underway. I have been thinking about pulling some of my older WIP's out and putting some time into them as well. like my Love, Joy Home Sampler...rememeber that one? I was reading back in my blog, and I think my blog used to be so much more interesting. I was changing up my projects, and I was posting lots of pictures. Now I feel like my blog is boring. Am I boring anyone else? Oh well, I guess I will go get some more work in on Patchowrk bears. I am working on the border on the left hand side and it is coming along. if anyone knows how I can make stitching my parent's dratteds more fun, please let me know!

A progress Picture!

HAPPY EASTER!
Well, I did it! Yesterday I worked on Nov. Quilt for 3 hours, and can I say I think I got quite a bit done, and I worked on it a bit more this morning, and it is still very early yet! I plan on working on it all day. I am going to stitch alot and read a little and just relax! It is really coming along, yesterday I finished all the blue of the sky, and around the wheels. I am pretty much done with the wagon itself, except for a fill in spot where I need two stitches, and all the ground and the pumpkins, and then the Backstitch! I don't know why it has taken me so long to post a progress picture, probably because I didn't think there was much progress on it, but I forget that you tend to see more of your work when you post the picture than just looking at what you stitched. I wonder if it could possibly be finished in a week, or two? I guess so if I keep it up. Well, I didn't finish my Easter piece, I still need to finish putting in the Easter bear and flowers and Hearts I decided to put on it at the last minute in place of what was supposed to go on it.
Well, I am off to go stitch some more. Bye!

Sick of being sick!

Damn it! Excuse me, but I am sick AGAIN! I have never been this sick so much in my life since I moved to Texas. I am so tired of getting sick! I am sick every friggen month! My nose runs, my throat hurts, I don't have avoice! I can't breath. And for soem reason, and this is probably just by chance, but it always happens when I have two days off from work, but do I start getting sick the day before my two days off?! NO! I start getting sick right before I have to go back! I hate this place!

Anyway, rant over! My husband will be off work for the next week, and so I probably won't get to post pictures, cause he will be hogging his computer. How dare he! Anyway, not much to write about, I didn't do any stitching yesterday, and I don't know if any will get done today as I really just feel like crap and want to lay down. I am so frustrated right now! I take vitamins, I exercise, I try to eat right, and drink plenty of water and still, I get sick!

Sorry to be ranting all over everyone about this, I am so frustrated though. I am really impressed with all the stitching I see everyone else doingon their blogs, though. I don't know why I am in such a slump. I think it may be because I have so many hobbies, and I like to switch them up according to what I feel like doing most, lately it has been pen paling. I think in the past 5 days I have sent out like 25 letters or something. Well, I am going to go try to eat this oatmeal, because I need to eat so I can exercise, and take some medicine, even though I can't even taste this stuff and I don't feel like eating. Anyone wanna shoot me? Feel free!

Stitching bug is back!

Well, yesterday I only worked out for half an hour and I sat for two hours and stitched! I started on the little bunny on my Easter piece. it felt really good to be stitching agian, and had a hard time putting it down. Today I think I will work some more on my mom's birthday piece. It needs a bit more work, actually alot more work. and maybe even break down and pull my dad's piece out as well, IT needs ALOT of work! I will try to post progress pictures later today. i am going to go read some blogs! bye!

Hi!

What a dumb title. Well, today is my day off, and I am thinking about doing some stitching. For some reason, I have not stitched in a while. I think I worked on my mom's Nov. Quilt the other day for half an hour.

But1 back to my Easter piece, I think I am going to put the Easter bear from 101 Bear personalities on the side. (Remember I did the Irish one for st. Patty's day.?) However, i have not had the stitching bug lately, but today I feel like some stitching is in order. I really need to read blogs, I haven't read any for a few days now, well I tried to catch up yesterday, but then I got antsy and couldn't sit there anymore. the thing I hate about exercising, is it takes the fun out of being lazy. I feel like I have hyper activity disorder! I always have to be doing something. I sit to do some stitching and five minutes later I find myself washing dishes! what the heck?! So, today I have the day offf rom work, and I am going to sit, and stitch, I didn't do any exercise today, so we shall see if I can do it, I'll probably sit down to stitch and jump up to work on muscle work outs, or something. I need help.

Anyway. Not much going on here. Just trying to figure out how to finish this easter piece. and you are most right, ladies, this was supposed to be a bellpull, but because I cut it too short, I feel like I want to put more on it, but whatever I do I will have to put it on the sides, making it too wide for a bell pull. Maybe I should go back to kindergarten and learn how to count. Oh I also need to finish up Nov. quilt, my mom's b-day is in ten days, and I truly do not see it getting finished in time! Ah pooey! Where are those stitching elves when I need them?!

A progress picture,maybe a finish...

This actually may be the end, but I am not sure. I did start putting the Easter bunny in under the word Easter, but realized, it really wasn't going to fit, so now I have a somewhat dull "Happy Easter" sign. I still need to finish backstitching the little flowers around the letters, and I am playing with the idea of stitching the bunny in on the side, I have enough fabric along side the word to do so, but then again with the way I count, who knows? =P and then thinking about putting some flowers and hearts along side the other side of the word Easter. Easter will be here in a Week, and I know it won't get finished, but it was still a cute little project to work on. So, until I figure out what to do with this, I am going to work on mom's Nov. Quilt. Any suggestions?

Where does the time go?

Oh man! I can't believe it is already Thursday! I have felt like a slug all week! I have tried to keep up my working out, and yesterday was the first time in 9 days that i didn't do a thing work out wise! and you are supposed to take a break every other day. Oh well, I wasn't feeling too well, I wasn't sick, but I wasn't feeling like jumping around, so I sat and watched tv, and stitched a bit more on easter. which speaking of which, Easter is coming up VERY soon! I thought I would have a lot more time, I just haven't been inspired to stitch at all on much of anything, even what little bit I did today is hardly worth mentioning. In a slump. That's me. I haven't felt like doing much of anything to tell you the truth, not reading, writing, blogs or otherwise, stitching, all i wanted to do for most of last week, and this week is work out.

Well, not much to write about, just wanted to say hi to everyone. because it is unusual fo rme to go a few days without posting. so, I thought I would post and let you all know I am still here, and still reading your blogs, just not wanting to blog much myself.

Sunday, April 02, 2006

O.k, first off, before I forget, Lili a while back you asked about the pup in the picture, is it mine? No, it's not, I wish! He is very cute! I want a dog very badly.anyway.

So, this weekend, not much stitching got done, just a little got done on Patchwork Bears. I am finally gotten in the groove on that one. I worked a bit more on the boarder, as well as some of the first bear in the picture too. But I didn't put a lot of time in on it. I am still working out like a fiend, and so stitching has gone by the wayside for right now, which is not good, especially since, I have my mom's birthday piece due this month, and my dad's is due next month! I really don't see either of them getting finished anytime soon! Well, maybe the one for mom, but definitely not the one for dad. Plus I have to have them stretched and framed.

Well, on a happy note, my microwave was installed today! Actually not until 8:30 tonight! Who knew maintenance guys worked Sundays at night? Interesting! Anyway, not much to report, I am just enjoying reading everyone's blogs, sorry if I haven't left comments, I really have enjoyed all the comments you have left for me. It's always fun to read what people think of my stitching, or other things in my life. Well, I hope you all have a great week, and I am sure I will be hopping in here to post something this week, even if it is a "Oooooh! my aching___________________ "(fill in the blank) because I worked out too much! Who knew exercising could be so addictive? Once you get going, it is hard to stop. I was going to take the weekend off but I worked out last night and again this afternoon! But lately I have just felt sorta restless, like I can't make myself just sit and stitch or read. I can't just sit still. I just "have to do" twenty more crunches, or just a "few more" bicept curls, just until it hurts, then I'll stop. ah...a few jumping jacks can't hurt.....anyway, I just want to keep working out. I am really going to try to get more stitching in this week, though, especially on Nov. Quilt. wish me luck...hmmm... I wonder if you can stitch while working out in the ab lounge? ...::chuckle::

Oh wait, I have to tell you a funny story. Last night I stayed up and watched a movie that was on TNT, and it was late for me, I usually am in bed by 11, or 12 at the latest, and this movie was playing around 1 in the morning, so around 1:30 I start getting sleepy, and then as 1:59 am turned to 3:00 am...wait! Wasn't that supposed to be 2 am? Hey! Who took 2:00 am?! Yup! You guessed it, my cable box automatically switched to daylight savings, and I thought I lost an hour, and guess what? I did! But guess what else?! So did you! =P Well, some of you!
