Late progress! Oops

Last time I posted:

Today:

So I've got a pretty good start in on page 4. That red petal you see at the top of the page took FOREVER! Confetti hell!! Lol, so I kept switching between the confetti and the larger areas of skin, so I was able to get quite a bit done. I'm proud of my progress.
This one will be set aside now until February. As today we are driving to Florida (13.5 hours each way) to visit family. And I will be taking my ornaments with me to work on. Smalls work better for me when traveling.
And when I get back it will be the New year and I'll start my new(ish) rotation for the year. Which will start out with "Day surrendering to Night". Oh how I've missed working on that one!
I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas. I did take a couple days off posting here to enjoy the holiday with my family. We had a wonderful couple of days. My daughter was properly spoiled!
As was I!  My next update will be a year end wrap up and a 2016 plans kind of post. So anyway, I gotta go pack my suitcase and get ready to head out here soon!
Thank you for reading! Happy New year!!!

Woo hoo!

Page 2 is FINISHED!!!
Now I'm going to move down and start page 4. I'm just going to keep working on this piece throughout the month.
The next time it comes up in my rotation is in mid February, but that's around my daughters birthday and my mom will be here for 2 weeks so I'm not anticipating a whole lot of stitching time then, so thought I'd keep working on it now, to make up for then. (If that makes sense)
Hope you have a great weekend!

Sea of Roses progress!

Last time I posted:
Today:

So I've decided I'm going to do all 4 of the full pages of this together (1,2,4,5) so when I'm done with this page (p 2) I will move down and work on 4. Then do 5, then work the remaining 5 partial pages (3.6,7,8,&9) together, because all the combined stitches of those 5 pages doesn't even equal half the number of stitches in one of the full pages. In fact page 9 only has 32 stitches in it!  So that's my ideas going forth with this one, and if I'm able to keep with the schedule I've set out with my rotation that I've worked out for next year I should finish this one mid to late September, which I'm super excited about!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a great holiday season!

Sea of Roses Progress!

Last time I posted:

Today:

It's slow, but I don't mind too much. I just want to be done with this page by the end of the month/year. So I'm taking it slow, also because of all the Holiday stuff things are, of course, busy. So if it takes me the entire month to finish this, That's fine with me!
So! Is anyone else out there looking through their projects and making plans and lists and goals for next year? I know I am!! But I'll share those later on, closer to the end of the month!
I hope you're all enjoying a fun weekend, maybe getting some of that Christmas crazy out of the way a little early. I know I am, so I can sit back drink egg nog lattes and just relax and enjoy the holiday, without having to run around frantically at the last minute. I'm almost done! I'm hoping to have it all done by the 10th. Wish me luck!
And as always, thankyou so much for stopping by!

"Big" Finish number 3 for the year!

I just now put the last stitch in and ironed it!!! I love it! I think it came out really good!

Stitched on 18 count Oatmeal Aida, 2 over one. Started 4/21/13 finished 12/2/15. designed by Roger Reinardy. Pattern was in the Stitchery Magazine. I'm sorry, I don't know which issue.

Thank you for stopping by!

A finish, an almost finish and end of the year plans

So! I finished this little guy yesterday:
He was a pretty quick stitch!

So, I decided that instead of continuing on with my rotation now (the next project in my rotation is DS2N), I would pull out Web of Life and really try to finish it up by years end.

So here's how it looked last night when I pulled it out after finishing my ornament:
This is page 3. I've finished pages 1 and 2 already.
After working on it last night and this morning it looks like this:

So, I've finished all the x stitches and only have back stitching to do now. I really think I should be able to finish this by the next time I share on Dec. 5th.  So keep your fingers crossed for me!

And I think once I finish this one, I will pull out Sea of Roses and try to finish page 2 before years end.

Here is how Web of Life looks in its entirety:

Soooooo close to a finish! So throwing the rotation out the window in hopes of having another full finish for the year! (Sorry for all the wrinkles! Oops)

Thank you for stopping by!

Ornies! A finish and some progress

I finished this little guy:

And got quite a ways with this one:

Just have to fill in his face and hair and do back stitch and he'll be done.

To all my US readers I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Ornaments!

I started a new ornament on the 15th and here's how far I got with it:
Not too bad for 5 days worth of stitching! I'm pretty pleased with this progress.

And I've made 3 more cards:

So 6 done, 14 more to go! Still having lots of fun with these!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! See yah in 5 days, hopefully with one finished star shaped Santa and the start of another ornament!

Sea of Roses

Last time I worked on it:(October 6)
After working on it the past 9 days:

Not a whole lot of progress, as on the 10th I didn't pick it up, it was my birthday and I was busy with other things. On the 11th I also didn't pick it up as it was Veteran's Day and my hubby being one, we were busy with the holiday.
Then! This past weekend I picked up supplies to start making these:

So! I would like to make 20 Christmas cards this year. These are the first three, so I've got quite a ways to go yet. But they are So much fun to make! I am enjoying the process of coming up with designs and assembling them. And I am able to incorporate my stitching as well. So these next couple weeks are gonna be a load of fun!! However I think my stitching might suffer because of this... But oh well. It's that time of year.... I'll jump back into it full swing again come the first of the year.

Thank you all for reading, I hope you have a wonderful week and I'll be back in a few days with progress on Christmas Ornaments (the next project in my rotation)

How dumb am I....

To save all the metallic threads for last?! Oh well, it's done now!

I present: page 2 FINISHED!!!!

You can't see it but there are a TON of sparkles!! It is SO pretty, and although a pain in the butt to stitch, the effort is SO worth it!

So, since I actually got this page done a good 8 days early, I'm gonna use the remainder of this round to pull out Sea of Roses and try to finish page 2 of it, since I failed to in its last round in my rotation. I have less than 2 columns left to go, hopefully I can get it done before the 15th and I switch to Christmas Ornaments!

I have a few hours of quiet this morning as the hubs and daughter have gone off to buy birthday gifts for me ( my bday is on Tues), so I'm gonna go get into Sea of Roses!

Thank you for reading, and for all your lovely comments!

Here's a close up of the small area I worked on:

I don't have much more to go as this is a very small partial page. I'm almost halfway finished already!
I'm definitely sure I will finish this page by November 15th (my goal finish date).

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!! Thank you for reading!

Cats.....Finished!!

I am really pleased with how it came out!

This little guy is my favorite...look at his cute little face!!!

Well, next up is my HAED Flower Bride project. I'm on page 2, which is only a partial page, so I'm expecting it to go rather quickly. We'll see how it goes!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!  It's rainy and cool here, so purrfect weather to finish this cat piece!  Haha!

See yah in about 5 days with an update in Flower Bride.

Sooo close!!

Today:

I have 5 days to reach my goal due date for this one. And I think it may happen!!Just got to finish that huge white cat! And I hate stitching white on white, so it's gonna be a stretch! But I'm just gonna get it done!! Push strong for the finish line!!
I'll see yah in about 5 days!
Thank you for stopping in, and for all your lovely comments! They mean the world to me!

More kitty progress

Last time I posted:

Today:

So I got another cat finished I just need to back stitch and started the last cat, but just a tiny bit on him. I'm really hoping to have this piece completely finished on the 25th, and that gives me 10 days, which I'm pretty sure I can accomplish.
I am really enjoying this one SO much, and I'm excited to see a finish, because that means.............a new start to fill this spot in my rotation!!!!

And I've been thinking about either: 1) starting another HAED (Forget me Not to be exact) or 2) let my daughter pick another piece she'd like me to do. And she's already looked through and found another one that really wouldn't take me long, but I just can't decide.
What do you think, readers? Do I keep it simple with another small cat piece for my kid, or do I go the selfish and slightly crazy route (considering I've already got three BAPs going now) and start my next HAED?
Let me know what you think, and thank you all for stopping by. See yah in 5 days!

Cats!

And here's a close up of the area I worked on the past 5 days:

So not bad! And good news is, my stitchy bug has come back out of hiding and I absolutely loved working on this project. I think I just needed a change of scenery so to speak. I really do hope to finish this piece up this month. I've only got to finish back stitching the large light brown cat and the white kitten on top of him, and then stitch two more cats. Then it'll be done and I can get it framed up for my daughter.
Thank you for stopping by!

And MORE progress.....

I am disappointed that I didn't make my deadline of finishing this page by today, but what can you do? My stitch you mojo took a vacation!

So! Onto the next!
I will be pulling my daughters cat piece out and hoping to finish it this month. We'll see how that goes!!
See yah in 5 days!

I don't think I'm gonna make it!

Last time I posted:

Today:

It's still super slow going! I really do not see a finish on this page in 5 days!!
I've had a bit of a stitching slump as of late. I have to MAKE myself pick it up and work on it. So I haven't been putting as much time in as I'd like and should in order to reach my goal.
So now I'm just not sure if I want to continue on and just try to finish this page as soon as possible or to move on in my rotation.
I'm not sure... Something to ponder on!

Well happy October! Thank you for reading!

Stuck in confettiville

Last time:

Today:

So.... The title says it all! Again it's kind of slow going as I keep hitting patches of intense confetti....I love the result and detail of all that confetti, but getting through it is just tedious! I keep having to remind myself that the end result will be well worth it.
However! This confetti is really slowing me down and I don't know that I'll be able to make my projected day of completion on this page.  I've only got 10 days, and I really don't see that happening. So we shall see!!

Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Until next time: happy stitching!

Sea of Roses...progress!

Last time I posted:
(Wow! What a craptastic photo! Sorry!)

Today:

This go around I was able to finish another column and get a good start on the next one. (3 of 7) this section seems to have a lot less confetti.
Sorry again for yet ANOTHER craptastic photo... It's dreary and looking like rain here this evening so the lighting isn't too good!
Hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful week! And I'll see yah again in 5 days! Thank you for reading!

Sea of Roses update

Last time I posted:

Today:

I lost my stitchy mojo a few days between my last post and today, so it's been slow, but I was able to finish Row 2, and start row 3. But then changed my mind and have now decided to work in columns instead of rows, so I'm working my way down column 1.

Hope you are all having a great week! See yah next time!

Sea of Roses page 2 Start

Well I got a pretty good start on page 2. That's the whole top row, and the first about 300 stitches in the second row. So there are a lot of huge chunks of the same colors in this area so it's stitching up pretty quickly! That is ALOT of pink! There are about 10 different shades in that area. I can't wait to get down a bit lower where there are more of the darker shades.
I am really enjoying this! I can't believe this is 6 days of stitching. It's stitching up SO fast!
Here it is in its entirety so far:
It's coming along, I just hope I can keep up at this speed.

Oh! And I have a new toy! Some of you who are my Facebook friends have probably already seen this, but I'm super excited, so want to share again:

I finally got an SUV!! It's time! We've always just had 2 door cars, and now Alyssa is getting so big and we are traveling so much it just seemed like it was time. I'm still getting used to driving such a big car!  I'm used to driving a Ford Mustang so it's quite a difference in size!! But it's fun and VERY comfortable!
So that's my exciting news.
I hope you're all having a great weekend and getting lots of stitching done, and I'll see yah again in about 5 days!
Thank you for reading!
