DS2N progress

Last time:

Today:

The "day" angel has a face! I was able to complete all of columns 2 AND 3 and get a pretty good start on 4.

I've made it a daily goal to completely fill in 2 10x10 blocks a day. If I am able to keep up with this goal, then I will be able to stay on track and complete this page by my estimated goal date of Valentine's Day. My goal is to finish 10 more 10x10 blocks by the time I update again. We will see how I do.

Ds2n update

Last time I posted:

Today:

I am 25 stitches shy of finishing column 2 on this page. My goal was to finish column 2 by the time I posted today, but close enough. I'm gonna shoot to finish column 3 by the time I post again on the 20th!

Hey! Look! I posted on time this go around!
Thank you so much for the kind comments on my last post, and reminding me that I'm not alone when it comes to sometimes time not being on my side. Sometimes life is like that. We just keep on chugging and eventually things fall into place.  After I posted about my frustration it seemed like things started sorting themselves out in my favor, I'm feeling more organized and getting caught up on some things. Life is good!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See yah on the 20th!

DS2N progress

Last time I posted:

Today:

I feel as if there is hardly any change at all!! I don't know what my deal is, I've not been stitching as much, and both my latest posts (my previous one and this one) were late.... I feel just kind of out of it lately, and I can't seem to pinpoint why. It's frustrating me! I feel like I'm behind in EVERYTHING!! Housework, stitching, blog posts, writing.... I need more hours!!
I just feel scattered.... I need to get it together.
Ok I'm done venting! Thank you for listening!
And thank you for stopping by.

DS2N progress

Last time I posted (way back at the end of August!)

After the last 7 days (yes, I'm late in posting! Oops!)

I'm now working on page 2. It's been slow going as there is a lot of confetti in this particular area. I'm hoping it starts picking up soon.

Thankyou for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend!

2016 goals....lets do this!

Well I shared my progress done in 2015, and I was very satisfied with what I accomplished stitchy-wise in 2015. I went way beyond some of my expectations on some of my projects, so I'm happy with that.

So, this year I'm gonna lay out a very ambitious TBS (To Be Stitched) list. We'll see how I do.  I have high hopes, as my daughter will be starting full time school this year.

GOALS for 2016:

STITCHING
1. DS2N-finish 4 pages
2. Sea of Roses- finish 7 pages (complete project!)
3. Stitch 8 Ornaments

READING
Read 60 books off TBR shelf

WRITING
Write 60,000 words of my novel (or 5000 words per month)
Write 72 letters (6 a month)
Participate in NaNoWriMo
Keep up on book and stitching blog

Turbo Fire
Finish 2 rounds

These are just a few goals I'd like to get done. Pretty ambitious, but it's all good! Why not aim high? I'm really looking forward to finishing Sea of Roses this year. It will be my first Heaven and Earth Designs finish.

As you can see I drastically cut back on the number of stitching projects I'll be working on this year. I'll rotate between these three throughout the year. Finishing one page and then moving onto the next in the rotation. I think I'll be able to see even more progress this way, and be pushing for more finishes a lot sooner.
If my calculations are right I should see a finish on Sea of Roses by mid to late September, and a finish on Day Surrendering to Night (DS2N) around mid-March of 2017.

Hope you all have a lovely 2016, filled with happiness and health. And lots and lots of stitches!!

Welcome to 2016!!

So I'm a little late in posting  this, sorry. I've never really done a wrap up post before. Not a visual one, I've written out my goals and showed which I'd completed, but this year I thought I'd try to use pictures. So here it goes!

This one I'm gonna mark as done, even though I didn't technically do this, because I did turn this Christmas smalls into 25 Christmas Cards instead. Here are some of those:

So for the stitchy front I'd call this year a success!! I'm very happy with what I've accomplished.

Here are some of my other goals and how I did on them as well:
