1. The piece I want to do requires a huge piece of cloth. I normally buy my stuff at 123 stitch, but they don't carry the size I need. Where do you get your 25 count cloth in such huge pieces to be able to stitch one of these projects?
2. What is your favorite type of fabric to use? (I'm looking to use 25 cnt)
3. I usually stitch in hand. Do you think I should start using a scroll frame? Or do you think id be able to work such a huge project in hand? And do you have a recommended scroll frame that you like best?
Thank you for any help or recommendations you can offer!!

I buy From a place sewitall .com they have a UK distribution and also an Australian one. Their service has always been great for me.
Thank you! I will look into it!!
I have now done a few heads, I use aida fabric, but look at cross stitch heaven on web. I also stitch holding the fabric by hand but I also use a big hoop that will fit a page on hope this helps.
Thank you!!!
I purchase my fabric from Crafty Ewe (thecraftyewe.net) Typically, I get most all my things there. I use aida for a strong background fabric - you will have warping in a large project without that strength. Talk to a shop owner for more thoughts. I am doing a 36x36" lighthouse and do it in hand. If you are an even tension stitcher doing it in hand is not a problem...if your tension wavers some - then think about scroll rods. But, the most important thing I can give advise about - your threads. Make sure you buy them all at the same time and if possible from the same lot. Even DMC colors do change over time. If you are using hand dyes - each lot is different. Have patience and fun. It will be a masterpiece while you finish.
Thank you Denise!! I will definitely keep that DMC idea in mind. I've seen where stitchers end up with different dye lots and...oops! Lol
I work my Haeds in hand,( i hate a loop!) I have no problems with it.
I like to use 22ct, for two reasons - I can see the holes better and you can buy a 30x36 piece at Hobby Lobby for about $6 if you have a 40% off coupon and you can get those at their site. I've worked on some of mine in hand but prefer a hoop or Q-snap because the back can get sort of 'thick' and pull it out of square.
