Howling at the Moon...an old photo of new progress!

I meant to post this photo before I went into the hospital to have the baby (Over a month ago!!!) But it just never happened. So here is progress on Howling. I think since I've had the baby I have (maybe!) stitched in 2 lengths of floss!! And at this rate, it should be ready to give to Alyssa when she graduates from high school in some 18 years, and it can hang in her dorm room at college...=/. LOL...
It is just hard for me to pick this one up as it is so detailed that I like knowing when I will have to put it down, and since I can not predict when the baby will cry and need my attention, I have not really wanted to pick it up. I have been working more on the Winnie the Pooh piece instead, as it is normally pretty easy to put down and pick back up again. I will post my progress on that one again soon. And you will see, that for all my belly aching the past few posts that I DO have a LITTLE bit of time to stitch. =) Things ARE getting better now that she is a month old and we sorta have a routine down. Granted it's not as much time as I used to be able to stitch, but that's alright, as long as I get to work on it a little bit.
Now I just got to find some time to get the sewing machine out and start putting Lyssa's Quilt together....maybe before she turns three? Hmmm...LOL

awe, the memories of life getting in the way of intentions... lol and remember, it is what you do with what happens along the way that add to all of the memories of Alyssa's life. Get a journal my friend, it's gonna be fun and sometimes we tend to forget the little things that bring so much joy.
Howling is looking good.
Be always in stitches.
As always

Your piece looks really nice and don't dispair about the stitching time. You'll get more as time goes on. Having a new one around - well, you're either tired from the birth or they need your attention. I used to park myself during feeding time near my stitching and when my little ones would fall asleep, I'd pick up the cross stitch (that is, if I didn't fall asleep along with them). It gets better!!

It is looking great Lana. You will get more 'you' time as time goes on, just enjoy Alyssa every moment as they grow so fast. I can't believe that this year my babies turn 17, 9 and 8 :'(
