November ALREADY?!?!

Well, this year is quickly coming to a close, and I have blogged all of 9 times so far this year! What is wrong with me?! I’m still stitching like crazy, just never quite feel like signing in and updating the ole blog.

This year has been a year of crazy starts. For me, at least, because I’m a full coverage stitcher, so all my projects are VERY big, and take a VERY long time to finish!  (2+ years a piece) so I normally just have three pieces going at a time in a rotation that allows me to see pretty good progress. However, this year I joined a wonderful Facebook Group called “Full Coverage Fanatics”... Where they have challenges and SALs galore!! And not wanting to miss out on all the variously themed SALs, I found myself with a BUNCH of new starts this year! (What’s a girl to do?!)

So, here are some of the beautiful pieces I started this year. Mind you, this is what they’ll look like completed. So, here we go:

Haven't been blogging, but I've still been stitching!

Autumn Peace
Mystic Stitches
Started June 1st, 2016
Finished July 31st 2018
2 over 1 on 18 count Aida

So, this happened!! I finally finished Autumn Peace!! I finished it on the morning of July 31st. I was SO happy to have it done!

We had to go out to California early August, for a death in the family, and so I was able to take the finished piece home to my mom, and show her (it is a gift for her)...I thought she was gonna cry.  But I brought it back home with me, and will hopefully get it framed by Christmas as my parents are supposed to come out at Christmas for a visit. So, Hopefully it will be fully finished by then!

I have more progress to show on other projects as well, so I will be back with an update on other pieces soon.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Autumn Peace update

It's coming along!! I've only got 4 partial pages left to a finish! (3 half pages and a quarter, so 1 full and 3 quarter pages!) I have really enjoyed working on this! I'm so behind on Blogging this year!! I cannot believe it's been nearly 2 months since I last blogged! (ok, it's been 2 months and a day!)  I have a new start, and progress on  few pieces. I will have another new start tomorrow.( I joined the full Coverage Fanatics FB group, so that is why I have so many new starts, to go along with the various SAL themes.) Tomorrow I will be starting Moonlight Bay, by Kustom Krafts.

It looks like this:

I'm super excited to start it! I love all the blues in this chart!!

Thank you for reading, Happy Easter, if you celebrate!! And I will try to get back here again to share what I've been up to again, before too long!

Winter Rose First update of 2018

This project still seems to be the red headed stepchild in my world of stitching.  I still have a hard time picking it up, though I have recently found myself picking it up more frequently as of late (like in the past week)
I hope you're all having a great day! Thank you for stopping by!

Autumn Peace Update

This piece continues to steal the show in my life of stitching! I absolutely LOVE working on it, and barely a day goes by that I don't pick it up!! It is full of confetti, but I don't seem to mind it!

Hope you're having a great day!! Thank you for stopping by!

DS2N first update of 2018!

Oh man, but I fell off the blogging wagon. It was like once the Holidays were over I just needed a break.....from life, it appears! Haha!  for some reason, I'm finding it really hard to get motivated this year. I feel like a huge slump! So, I never got around to a 2017 wrap up post, or a 2018 goals post.....And here it is with only a week left of January....I may still get to them, but for now, I just want to update my progress.

Here is what Day Surrendering to Night looks like....although, I think I have a bit more work in on it, as you can see I took that photo almost 10 days ago! Ooops. Like I said.....so unmotivated. Sorry.  I am just glad I am picking this one up now on a fairly regular basis, as it always seemed to slip by the wayside. I started this page on Sept. 11, and I had a projected goal to finish this page by Jan. 3rd....And I still have more than half left to go for a finish....yeah....VERY behind!! Oh well. Life happens, right?

Hope the first of the year has been treating you well! Hopefully you're getting lots of stitch time in, and making some headway on some of those goals you set for the year!

Thank you for reading!!
