So disappointed...

I miss having my smalls to focus on at the beginning of every month. I have very close to no motivation for stitching anymore. I don't know if this is because I am 8 months pregnant and can hardly sit still to save my life, it's just so hard to get comfortable, or my pregnant brain won't settle and let me concentrate, or if I just lost my stitching mojo (the reading mojo is gone too!!) I just don't care anymore. I used to be so driven to get my hobbies worked on, and now I'm just lolligaggin around, wasting my life. Not that stitching is life....well, would I sound lame if I said it used to be my life? I LOVED planning projects and faithfully trying to get them stitched in a reasonable time, and now I go days at a time without touching any stitching. I have no stitchy goals, and the ones I do have seem unattainable. i have even tried to work out a rotation, and it's just not happening! I just feel soooooo scattered....this sucks.....thanks for listening to me whine!!! Could you wonderful stitchy bloggers send me some good stitchy vibes? I could really use them!!! Thank you!!!

I am sending you good stitching vibes, and wanted to tell you that I was the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter. I couldn't settle on anything - stitching, a book I was reading - nothing. I'd go through my stash and couldn't get myself to pull everything together to do it. Wander the bookstores in each of a new book or magazine - nothing. Drove me crazy! Seems like our bodies are in such a flux about that time that it's hard to settle. Your mojo will come back and with a vengence. Just take the time to relax and not worry about it.

((((((vibes)))))) coming your way
I would be stitching my butt off now, because when baby gets here it will be busy and tiresome.
Your stitching is so perfect, so get it back and post them wonderful stitches
I can't wait to see the new little bundle of joy :)

Oh, hey...being pregnant is such a strain on us, what with the hormones, extra weight and all the fuss & bother ~ it's no wonder your mojo is lagging! Don't worry, things will come around to normal again.

Oh, Lana! The stitchy mojo will come back! Being pregnant is hard work though so give yourself a break. Put your feet up and try to enjoy the last month before your beautiful baby arrives. Your stitching mojo will come back - but be prepared - it may take a while. Being a new mommy is exhausting work- wonderful beyond words but exhausting, too.

Hi Lana!

Consider good stitchy vibes sent :)

I can't speak to the whole being pregnant thing, but it might help your I-don't-wanna-do-anythingys to try something new to kick start your interest! It doesn't have to be an out-there hobby. Maybe just a new small stitching project in a design or type of stitch you haven't done before but want to try, or reading a book that is outside of your usual reading genres.

I find this helpful myself when the doldrums hit. Best of luck, for get your creativity back and for the baby!

Don't worry Lana, everything will get back to normal. The pregnancy is responsible for the way you feel and it's perfectly normal. When I was pregnant I couldn't seem to concentrate and I couldn't remember anything!
Just enjoy the relaxation and your mojo will return in time.

You're body is getting ready to welcome the little one. I couldn't stitch at all at the end of my first pregnancy. Don't stress it. I also had to stop reading my favorite books (Steven King) because I'd get so freaked out. lol

Go with what your body is telling you to do. You'll find time later after she's born and sleeping through the night to stitch. lol THe first couple of months, sleep when she does or you won't get much at all. ;)

Give it a little time - it'll come back later on. Not much longer!

I understand...although it was so long ago for me. If you are carrying like I did, there is so much baby basket in the way, where do you rest your stitching! Good luck with the new comer to your life.....relax, you will need it later.

Don't get discouraged. I am sure it is just your hormones. I have gone through periods where I don't stitch, but I have found that the love never goes away. Just enjoy looking at what others do. (That usually perks me up a lot.) It will hit again, so in the meantime just save up for new stash!!! LOL
There is nothing wrong with not feeling motivated. It is part of life. Just relax and enjoy. Your body is telling you something.
