Another little finish!

I love this little ornament!! I live in the Louisiana Bayous, so we see lots of gators around here.
I think this one will be on my parents Christmas card this year, cause ever since we moved here, lots of times when I talk to my dad on the phone, he asks, "So, you catch yah an alligator yet?" LOL....

I have a good start on the next ornie in line as well.  May was a GREAT stitchy month! My stitchy bug came back, full force!! I stitched 48 hours!!! And I think Jan through April I only made it to like 20 something hours in each of those months.  I feel like I'm back!!  It feels super good!!

Hope you're all having a great June! And enjoying Summer!! I can't believe the year is almost half gone already!!

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my posts for last month! I read and love every single one, and really appreciate that you take the time to leave me a note, so thank you! I appreciate everyone who drops in to read my blog, even if you're just a lurker. Thank you for taking the time to read about and look at my stitching.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, full of stitches, and sunshine!

Ornaments! Two finishes!!

I finished snowmen #'s 5 and 6. I've got a tiny start on #7, but didn't think I had enough progress to warrant a photo yet.

I've been busy so my stitch bug has taken flight, and not a whole lot of stitching has happened, but I took about a month away from this blog, so in a months time I guess more got done than I thought.

Christmas Ornaments Finish and some progress !

I was able to finish up this little snow dude:

I finished him on September 3rd, and now I'm working on this one:

He's holding up a sign that says Merry Christmas over his head and looking up at it. And as I say with all these ornaments, I think he's super cute!!

That's about it for now! Hope you all have a great weekend, thankyou for stopping by! Until next time: Joyful stitching to you all!

I have a small finish!

I was able to sit and get this little guy done up between the last time I posted (2days ago) and this morning.

Which makes me very happy 1) because who doesn't love having a finish, no matter how small? And 2) it means that I can put these little things away and pull out Day Surrendering to Night. Which I absolutely am in love with and am so excited to be able to work on again.

So, my goal for DS2N is to finish page 1 by August 20, before moving onto Web of Life, the next project in my rotation. Wish me luck! And I will see you again on the 5th for an update on DS2N.

Joyful stitching to you all!

Bye bye July!

Happy August Every one! Oh man, was July a crazy crazy month.... But lots of fun!
So in the midst of all the celebrating and traveling and fun with the fam time, I was able to get a little stitching in. I have 1 finish and 2 WIPs to share, so let's get on with it, shall we?
First off I finished this guy (although I JUST realized, I still need to add his French knotted eyes)
I think he came out pretty cute! That poor teddy bear in his pack looks very sad, though. Lol
Next up is Santa # 7, and here's the progress I was able to make on him:
I need quite a bit of work on him still, but there are large chunks of the same color in this one, so seems to be sailing along at s good clip.
Next is DS2N progress. And I'm trying not to feel too disappointed with the progress on this one. But there is tons of confetti in this one and I obviously was not able to stitch as much as I normally would in a months time. So here it is:
I was able to get 4 full columns completely done and started the fifth one. Where you see my needle parked is the far right edge of that page. I am really still enjoying this one, despite the ridiculous amount of confetti in it. But! The result of all that confetti is phenomenal! So I'll just keep on plugging away at it.

So that's all I was able to get done stitchy wise while I was on my blogging hiatus. I did have an awesome month, busy, but awesome! And now we are into August, and all I have to say about that is Roll on Fall! I am just through with this southern heat and humidity!

Anyway, thank you all for spending a small portion of your day with me. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Santa ornament #7 progress

Last time I showed this:
After the past 5 days:
I was able to get a bit done.

So! Let's talk July...

July is always a very busy month for me, as my husbands birthday is this month as well as our wedding anniversary, then there's 4th of July and... Wow!

So! We will be traveling quite a bit this month. We will be out of town for 4 days for the hubs birthday, and also 4 days for our anniversary... (10 years! Wow! We made it to the double digits! )

While I'm traveling I like to work on smalls, so will be toting along my ornies while I'm traveling. And the days I'm home and can stitch I will be working on Day Surrendering to Night. So my rotation is going out the window basically this month. Since I finished my HAED page I was to finish 1 page of ornies (there are two ornies on the page I'm working on currently) as they are next in my rotation, but because I want to take them on my trips I have just decided to put them away for now and just work on DS2N, on the days I'm home this month and work the Ornies while I'm gone.

Also! I have decided to take a blogging break this month. Seeing as how much of the month will be celebrating holiday and birthday and anniversary and traveling I don't see myself with a whole lot of time for posting. So! I bid you Happy July for now and I'll be back in a month (hopefully with some progress on my two WIPs I'll be working on this month!!
Thank you for reading and all your lovely comments on my last post! All my readers are what makes this blogging experience so awesome! Thank you!
Joyful stitching to you all!

2 Finishes and a start!

I was finally able to finish this guy! It only took forever! I don't know why it took so long... Hmm? But it's done now!
Here is my third finish for the year. He seemed to stitch up pretty quickly.
And here is my start. It doesn't look like much now, but in time it will be Santa carrying his heavy sack of Toys.

Thank you all for stopping by, I hope all my readers who celebrate the holiday had a glorious Easter yesterday. We had a nice one, it was rainy here, but we had our egg hunt inside and had a nice Easter meal.

I've been thinking about revamping my rotation. Since I am working on quite a few big projects who's patterns are pages long I'm thinking about doing a page rotation. Where I'll work on one project until I get a page completion then switch over to the next in line. I like the rotation I currently have, as it provides more variety here on my blog, but so often after just 5 days of working on a project (especially my HAEDs or Kustom Kraft ones) I'm not ready to pack it away yet. I know I would see quicker progress that way. What do you think? Would you, my readers get bored if I posted the same project a few posts in a row? I would still post every 5 days, though, that wouldn't change.
Well, I got a Dr. Appointment today so I better get going. Thank you for reading!

Still sloooow goin'...

This is all I have been able to accomplish lately on my ornies.  These are the last two to finish up for this series. My parents are out here visiting, so been a bit too busy going here and there with them and entertaining to get much done on my projects. Hope this changes once they leave to go home day after tomorrow. I can't wait to get busy with my stitching again once my house guests have gone.
