And...wa-la!

I finished another WIP!!! This feels so good!

So, lets go over my goals...first Lets see how I did on last months goals:

1) work 5 hours on Howling at the Moon- Nope (only did 1 out of the 5 hours)

2) work 5 hours on The Abby-Nope (Did 1 hour of the 5)

3) Work 5 hours on Coming Home for the Holidays Nope (did 2 out of 5)

4) Finish Birdhouse-Yes!

5) work on another WIP- Yes! Had another finish...on "I Love You"

Also worked on Celtic Knot Bookmark, almost finished it.

Ok now my goals for October:

1) Finish Celtic Knot bookmark

2) Finish Fright Night Friends

3) Finish Midnight Watchman

4) Finish Good Night Mr. Moon

5) Do at least 1 hour each on Howling at the Moon, The Abby, and Coming Home for the Holidays

We shall see how this goes! I am doing pretty good...I have already finished #1 on the list!

Celtic Knot Bookmark

Well, here it is so far. (Celtic Knot Bookmark freebie found at Ink Circles website) And I am sort of disappointed that I didn't realize that there are three figure 8 knots going down the center of this piece, independant of the large knot that goes around it, I think it would have been great to do each of them in a different color than the outside knot. Like maybe a red...but since I have already done the first one on the top in the same color as the large knot I don't know how it will look. I may still try to make the knot in the center red, and the other two blue. Oh well.

So, my goal was to finish this in September...now I have a question...if I finish it today before 10 pm I should still have it done by September, by American time, so the question is...does it count as being finished in September?!?! But it is already October 1st here in Japan, so I am not too sure, what do you think? But as you can see I still have a little bit left to go. When I picked this one up on Tuesday, it wasn't even half finished, so I think I have done pretty good for only two days of stitching.

Well, that is about it for me today. I will post goals in my next post and hopefully I will have a finished bookmark to share with you then too!

Can you believe HOW much I have posted this month?! The last time I had more than 10 posts was in April of '07 I think. Wow! My blogoversary is coming up this month as well as hitting my 500th post, I'm almost there,only 3 more posts to go, I think.

Lots of Photos!

Well, it is a dreary Saturday afternoon, and I have just been lolligaggin' around watching Movies on the Lifetime channel. I haven't even picked up a needle today, although yesterday I decided to work on The Abby, something that I have not picked up in quite a while. I am getting very close to finishing the first page. First of nine!

Well, my scanner is up and running! So, this will be a picture-full post! Hope you don't mind, and I hope blogger agrees with my agenda!

First off, I want to show my celtic knot bookmark:

This is just the top portion, I am using 318 DMC for the outline and I don't remember the number for the overdyed inside, but it is also DMC-Blue. On white 18 cnt aida.

Next up is my May Freebie. I have put alot of time into this just lately, mostly this week while lounging in front of the TV watching my daytime Television shows. I am hoping to finish it this weekend maybe. We shall see.

And Last, but definitely NOT least is the beginning portion of my Cheryl's Bouquet:

This is my "Masterpiece" at the moment. This is a really bad scan, though. I am working it on 18 count navy blue aida, and am colorcoding my pattern to use various colors throughout the piece, instead of using overdyes. I saw this on the Ink Circles gallery, where a woman did this with the CDC piece, and it looks awesome and thought, hey! That'd be so cool to do with Cheryl's Bouquet. So, I went off in search of the color scheme I wanted to use and here is the beginning. It makes it a bit more tedious, that is for sure, because I have to color in the pattern the way I think it looks best with the colors I've chosen and then stitch it. And that navy fabric is a bear to stitch on! But I like what I have done so far. I have started on one of the corners, but have yet to complete it and so will wait until I do, to show it.

I have been perusing the blogs of other stitchers, and I loved all their pictures and because of the scanner konking out on us I couldn't post photos! And I was jealous! I wanted to show my work too! Well, so there it is! Now I have a pretty picture filled blog once again too!
