Progress photo Friday

Yes! Hold on to your hats, I am actually going to post photos. Well, one photo. I am not quite to the point of actually posting a photo of Cheryl's Bouquet quite yet. I'm almost there, though, and if I keep on it I think I may be able to post something by the end of The weekend. So, keep your fingers crossed. Today, my goal is to work on my SAL project, as I didn't work on it at all yesterday. But I think today I am going to have a complete stitchy day, I will work on project after project all day long. And first off I am going to make myself work on that stinkin' eagle, and get some of it done. I hate that it feels like it's hanging over my head, mocking me!!! So today I will conquer it!!! LOL!

So, here is the last progress photo, from before we took our little break from it:

And here is my current progress:

So, there yah go. sorry the photos look a bit rough, I think it's the texture of the fabric, but none the less, there it is! Finally a progress photo! You can see I worked on the dreaded wing quite a bit, and the other night when I started getting frustrated with those browns and I felt like throwing it across the room, I just worked a bit on the wording, as that is very easy, and a nice break from all the tediousness of the many browns in the wing of the bird. Well, not much else to share at this point. I am eager get myself situated on the couch and put in some good stitching time today. I have been a bit preoccupied with my writing as of late, as I shared a few posts back, and that has taken up quite a bit of my time, but I feel as though I am over my little blogging and stitching slump, so you should see more of me here! and thank you everyone for hanging in there with me during this slow time and for encouraging me during my slump!

Progress Photo Friday

Well, I had a bad nights sleep again last night, was up from 1:30 to about 4 in the morning, which made it really hard for me to get up and take DH to work this morning so I could keep the car, for my enterview today. So, anyway, I am thinking oh well, my sleep pattern is gonna be like that anyway if I get this job, so what's the big deal, right? I came home and drank coffee, and now I'm good to go!
So, I have decided to share all my progress photos today of my entire weeks worth of stitching, I was noticing that I really don't share that many photos, do I? like every three or four posts I'll share, so I thought well, maybe if I scan every thing all on one day then share them thorughout the week, that would work for me. I am so lazy when it comes to bringing my stitching into the computer room for scanning! I don't know why that is! But I think am going to try to scan all my photos on one day then share them throughout the following week. I don't know. all I know is that after I go and read everyone else's blogs and see all their lovely stitching, I realize how very plain my blog must seem! Anyway.
So, here are my photos for this week. I worked on Isaiah 40:31, on Tuesday and Thursday and I worked on the Abbey for most of the afternoon and some of the evening yesterday, and I worked on Snow Valley Express on Monday and Wednesday, so there are some progress pics to share!
So this is last weeks progress on this one:

This is this weeks progress:

and here is Snow Valley Express:

and here is the Abbey:
Phew! Now I know why I hate posting photos! What a pain to get all those on there! So, from now on I will be posting photos one at a time! well, I hope you enjoyed looking at my progress! and now I think I will go sit and do some stitching on...something, I don't know what quite yet, but something! Sorry that some of the scans are cooked!

Progress photo Friday

This is last weeks progress:

This weeks progress:

This week I have worked soley on Isaiah, my SAL piece. I have just been too lazy to pull out any of my other projects. Although today I do feel like I could work on something else...maybe try to finish up that card for my friend. or finish the Erica Michaels February Freebie. That will take a bit of research though, as I am not using the called for threads on that one, so I am having to match the DMC colors to the threads used by the designer...it really wouldn't take too long once I get going on it again. So, this weekend I think I should make it my goal to finish the card and the February freebie, afterall, February IS almost gone, and it will be time to start on March. Well, I am off to get some breakfast and then pop in a DVD and stitch the rest of the morning away. I have so much I want to do today. Including play SIMS and read, since I need to finish up "Looking for Peyton place". It has been a really good read, but for some reason, it is slow going. I only have about 15 more pages to go, but the last 50 pages have just taken me FOREVER! I need to get moving onto my next one, if I am ever going to make my reading goals for the year!

Progress photos

Well! I finally beat my slump on Snow Valley Express! Between yesterday and today I think I got at least 5 or 6 hours in on it, and aside from the back stitching, which I started today and a handful of cross stitches, in the lower left hand side around the tracks and a tuft of snow in the trees, I have just about got this paged nailed! I am thinking that I may be able to start page two of this before my first thought of date-next month. I know I won't get much stitching in this weekend as we are leaving tonight to go to FL, but I have seriously been neglecting my reading so I will use this weekend to do that, and when I get home I will be putting some serious time into this piece. To tell you the truth I thought the backstitch on this puppy would be a pain, because there is a lot of detail, but it really isn't, not yet anyway, it's been pretty smooth so far.

And next up, is my progress picture of my SAL project. Which we agreed that we would share photos on Friday's, but seeing as how I won't be home tomorrow I decided to show this weeks progress now. (Hope you don't mind Cindy!) For the most part I worked on the mountain range...I really love those colors, and I put in a bit more of the verse as well.
So, I hope you all have a great weekend. I don't know if I will be able to post or anything while I'm gone for the next 4 days, because I may not have internet access, but to tell you the truth I am probably not even going ot take any stitching with me...Well, I may, just for the cause of because, but I doubt I will pull it out and work on it. I don't know what this weekend will entail, really. So, I will take it just incase, I may have some time. See yah here when I get back!

Thank you for the comments! ::hugs::

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who sent me comments after my whiney little post yesterday! It is so nice to know that people DO read my stuff. I changed my template. I saw someone elses, and thought “Hmmm…I like that!” So I decided to do it!

Well, once again it is Friday and post day for my SAL. I must admit, I did very little on it this week. well, now comparing the two pictures, I guess i did more on it that I thought. I have really been concentrating on my Erica Michael designs. I am almost done with “January” and I started February yesterday.

This weeks progress...

Suzanne, can you tell me what your blog URL is? I looked on your profile, but the link wasn’t there.

Well, it is yet another gray cold day out. Yesterday I actually enjoyed taking my puppy out for a romp around in the back yard. I sat on the steps huddled in a warm blanky, and a cup of hot coffee, and she romped, every so often bringing me her toy to throw for her!

Hmmm…Today I was thinking about working on Holiday Airing today. I will probably try to finish up “January” today and then work on Holiday Airing! But we shall see!

January Progress...almost done! Poor guy is missing have the top of his head!

Oh, and I wanted to say that I am revamping my blog reading system. I am currently a part of the Stitchingbloggers yahoo group, and I realized that I don’t read very many of the other member's blogs, because I already had my others that I read and enjoyed. I have cleared things out and started reading my group blogs, in an attempt to become more active with the people of the group. So, many of the blogs there I have never read before, so as is my style, I will read them all the way through and then assign them a day to be read for the week. I don’t know if that makes any sence to anyone reading this blog (which I realized yesterday more read this blog than I originally thought, thank you!) but it makes sence to me!
Well, on that note, I am off to post photos of my stitching and go pick up my stitching for the day. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

my progress photos.

Well, here is my progress for this week, not much done, but a little. And last night I started "January" from Erica Michaels. And here it is, well, the first little bit anyway. the colors are different from the original, I am sorta doing my own thing with this. I think it is going to be alot of fun.
Well, last night it snowed. It snowed a tiny little bit yesterday but melted right off, but we have a dusting this morning. it will prbably be gone by this afternoon. Well, last night I had to take a muscle relaxer for my neck again, and so getting out of bed this morning was a bear, but I did it. Late, but I did it. I like to be up by 7:30, 8 at the latest, but today I didn't roll out of bed until a quarter to 9.
I think today I better pull out Snow Valley Express. I keep talking about pulling it out and haven't yet. But I need to. Well, wish me luck, I hope to get lots of progress on it today.
I have finished working out a stitching rotation:
Mon: The Abbey
Tues: Isaiah

Weds: Holiday Airing
Thurs: Isaiah/Snow Valley Express
Fri: Snow Valley Express/Eeyore

Sat: Monthly pieces from E.M./Holiday Airing
Sun:Monthly pieces/Dare to Dream

So, we shall see how it goes. Well, I am off to make some nice warm Oatmeal and then to stitch my morning away, before I get to the housework.

SAL progress post.

Well, this is my progress for the week. I didn't do much on Tuesday as I wasn't feeling very well from my cold. And I did end up having to frog out a small area yesterday. The chart, while easy to read is just hard to follow. There are a lot of different colors enmeshed in small spaces, and lots of symbols...I,looking at the chart, never thought it'd be this hard to follow. But anyway. This is all the progress photos I have to show. I sat and worked on Holiday Airing for two hours this morning, and actually found myself really enjoying it, didn't want to put it down, so maybe I was just having a bum day the last time I worked on it, as I was having a hard time allowing it to keep my attention. I have not had that problem today. I am really enjoying it.

Well, spring has sprung here, at least for the past two days. Yesterday was a wonderfully beautiful day. Today has been a little chilly but with a sweatshirt I was fine outside playing with the dog. If any of you have seen the movie "Cars" Lets just say that Freedom was "As happy as a tornado in a trailor park" yesterday playing outside. I don't know who wore who out first, but we ended up in a heap breathing hard after chasing each other for a long time. We both slept well after all that fresh air. But it was fun! I think we are up for some rain this weekend...and I know we need it, but I just hope it isn't cold. You know? At first it's fun, and beautiful to look out and see the magicalness that snow is, and that deliciously cozy feeling of being a nice warm house with the fireplace burning and the fluffy blankets and a pile of stitching. But after so long that biting cold just...ugh, and the czbin fever starts to get to you, and the darkness outside just gets to you. I'm from southern California. I don't do cold or snow very well. The beach? Yes. The sun? Yes. The snow?...eh, not so well. Well, I am off to make some more progress on Holiday Airing. I will share a progress photo of it soon!

SAL progress piccies

So, the first thing I did this morning was hop over to Cindy's blog to see if she had posted yet! And she had! I feel the same as her! I can hardley wait until Tuesday to be able to work on this piece again. It is a fairly easy stitch, and it goes quickly. I love it! so, here is my progress picture...
I think her and I may have gotten close to the same amount done, except, I spread mine out, that is just the way I stitch, after so much in one area on the same color, I get bored and have to find a new area to work on. Plus I love backstitching letters! I can't wait until Tuesday to pick it up again. Well, not much going on, other than that. It's Friday! Our snow and ice has melted, but it is raining right now. It is supposed to snow again this weekend, or have that "wintery mix" stuff again, rather...maybe a little bit of both. I am going to see if my hubby will clean out the fire place, so I can run it this weekend. The lady next door runs hers ALL the time. I know her gas bill (if she has a gas heater!) must be low! Ours is sky high! She actually has a great idea. Well, today I am going to work on Dare to Dream while watching more ER. I had gotten the 1st season for Christmas, well, I got to the third disc of the season, and realized that that was a defective package, as it had two Disc #1's, and no #3, so I had to go to Best buy and exchange it, well, they had no season 1 when we went, so hubby, being the sweetheart that he is...got me season two, then came home and bought me season 1 off the internet. So, I got a defective season 1 and exhanged it for two seasons! I made out like a bandit on that one! well, off to stitch...something, I am not sure what. I have been in the mood to pull out another WIP from my stash...one I have not worked on in a LONG while, what shall that be? you wonder? Well, come back tomorrow and you shall find out! Happy Friday, and Happy Stitching!

SAL day! Woo-hoo!

Well, it is Thursday, the first day of mine and Cindy's SAL. I am super excited. I haven't stitched much in the past few days because I have been stuck to the computer with my new passion: The Sims Game. The last two days I think I played all day except to get up and use the restroom and get food. And at the end of the day I felt guilty! So, I have vowed that today I wouldn't get in that rut again. I read blogs this morning, and now when I am done here I will put in a movie and stitch to my hearts content on "Isaiah 40:31", and I am going to read, and write some letters, and try to get to the housework.(Funny how that last one always ends up at the end of the "to do" list, huh?) So, this is a short post but not much to write. Last night I had to take a muscle relaxer for my back, as I have a ton of tension in my neck and shoulders and it was causing a lot of pain, including a headache. I hate them(the muscle relaxers), because they make me feel drugged out, so I only take them at night, but I still wake up the next morning feeling groggy! so, right now I am downing gallons of coffee to try to slip out of this drug hazed stupor...Aw what the heck, maybe I'll lay back down for a few more hours. But, I really want to stitch. This is one reason I hate taking drugs! I don't know what it is, probably from being a college student for so long, but even now, after being out of school for two years, I hate to sleep! I think it is a huge waste of time! I think that way, because as a student, you deprive yourself of the most basic needs in order to meet all those demanding assignment due dates, and sleep is usually the first thing to go out the window, you can live off of microwave popcorn as you are studying, so the food thing...it's alright, but who the heck has time to sleep?! So, all this to say I hate taking drugs that make me want to sleep! I have too much stitching to do to sleep! I'm going to get more coffee now-good bye! Progress Piccies on Isaiah tomorrow!
